Tidland Corporation introduces the e-Knifeholder, an all-electronic knifeholder that eliminates guesswork in knifeholder setup and increases blade life, slitting accuracy and efficiency. It can self-calibrate to optimize critical blade geometry during setup, blade overlap and side-force. By ensuring proper adjustments during setup, blade wear is reduced and changes are required less often, translating to less downtime and reduced operating costs. Remote control operation of knifeholders reduces hands-on time during the setup and run process. The e-Knifeholder also reduces the amount of training needed for an operator to be able to set up knives properly and empowers the operator to eliminate inconsistencies in setup across multiple knifeholders.
